I recently designed this collection of flip-flops for SambaSol. One of them used a Hawaiian look. I remember I created these leaves one by one in Illustrator creating my own brushes, and then from there I composed the illustration leaf by leaf using these brushes. It was a lot of work. It took me at least a couple of hours to complete the design. Below you find a similar design of this flip-flop using the leafs from the Tropical Bang Floral Collection from Octopus Artis. I used my original flowers, but combined it with the leafs from this collection. It took me only a fraction of the time to create this, and the watercolor effect beautiful.
